My version of the "Afghan Girl" - a portrait shot by Steve McCurry in 1984 and which ran on the cover of the National Geographic magazine in June 1985.
Her eyes are haunted and haunting, and in them you can read the tragedy of a land drained by war.

Steve McCurry's "Afghan Girl" has been one of my favourite portraits of all time. I love how you enhanced her bright eyes, which is important as her eyes are the most important part of her. The emotions portrayed in here is more enhanced from the original photo especially with the dark areas. Well done!
